SSI developed the 1800 MSC (Mobile) & 2500 SC (Stationary) compactors to increase the effectiveness of processing metal scrap. These machines simplify the handling of tin and white goods by reducing the amount of material handling required in typical scrap yard processing. Simply load the chamber and let the SSI Scrap Metal Compactor do the rest. The material is compacted into bales and discharged directly onto transport trailers for the most efficient light scrap handling and transporting system available. Both models consistently deliver bales at the ideal density for auto shredders.

To minimize transportation cost, the SSI 2500SC Stationary Scrap Compactor can be placed in your scrap collection yard to create bales of tin and white goods and then directly load onto transport trailers, maximizing payloads to regional auto shredders. The SSI 2500SC includes an electronic reader board displaying weight and bale length information and radio controls for hands off, single operator operation. The 2500SC’s robust design includes replaceable steel wall liners, replaceable steel floor liners and maintenance friendly hydraulic power unit.

The 1800 MSC Mobile Scrap Compactor was specifically designed for the ever-changing needs of today’s scrap and recycling markets. The self contained CAT diesel power unit insures a mobile compaction system easily moved between remote scrap collection yards, or areas without electrical power access. The 1800 MSC operation is easily set up on site and ready to operate. Included are radio controls for efficient hands off, single operator operation. It is designed to compact tin, light scrap metal and white goods more efficiently and reliably from remote scrap metal collection yards to maximize payloads and minimize transportation costs over greater distances. The 1800 MSC’s robust design also includes replaceable steel wall and floor liners.
